Twin Spruce Apiary Gift Shop in Greene County, NY is the home of Twin Spruce Apiaries and StarCatcher Herb Shop. The barn at Twin Spruce is still an extracting house and a place to buy honey, beeswax candles, propolis, elderberry honey syrup, loose leaf teas, tea tools, culinary herb blends, maple syrup, and more. The apiary started as a family operation in 1941 by inspiration and perspiration of husband and wife team, Wolfgang Bauer and Jessie Bauer. By 1975, Wolfgang and son, Walter Bauer, were stewards of 1200 hives throughout the county. From 1987-2013, Walter and wife, Nonie Bauer, brought Twin Spruce Apiary honey and beeswax candles to Union Square Market in NYC. Today honey sales and beehives are close to home and Nonie Bauer with daughter, Sheri Bauer, tend to bees, gardens, and the shop. Open 10am-5-pm Mon-Fri. Open 10am-3pm Saturday.
