Catskill Mountain Beekeepers Club - Childcare/Education, Local Produce in Prattsville

Catskill Mountain Beekeepers Club

Our club began in 1996 with a dedicated and experienced handful of people. We now have over 90 member families who raise bees, teach others about beekeeping, and sell their honey products. We contribute our time and information to the Catskill communities by participating in numerous events in Greene County. In addition to our hive products, our exhibition booths contain literature, posters, equipment, and an observation hive.

The purpose and objectives of our club are:

– Serve as a resource to local beekeepers.
– Educate the community about the joys, skills and fruits of beekeeping.
– Provide an outlet for members to sell their produced honey and other hive products.
– Recruit new members.
– Foster interactions with the agricultural community and other beekeeping organizations.
